THE ODDS

The Odds is an experimental dance-performance that slips between satire and sincerity, navigating where American privilege, luck, control, and humiliation shapeshift within the performer. Inspired by a constellation of influences, namely Saketopoulou’s Sexuality Beyond Consent, Glissant’s Poetics of Relation, and Nathan Fielder’s absurdism, the piece activates performance as a live site of miscommunication and negotiated power.
